President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi strongly condemned Monday the terrorist attacks witnessed in the Nigerian capital Abuja on Friday, Al Bawaba News reported. Sisi offered his condolences to the families of the victims and the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, stressing on Egypt's support for Nigeria in its fight against terrorism. Boko Haram claimed responsibility for one of the attacks that killed 18 people in Abuja on Friday. Boko Haram is a Nigerian Salafist jihadi group, founded in January 2002 by Mohammed Yusuf to apply the Islamic law (Sharia) on all the states of Nigeria. The group which pledged allegiance to the Islamic State (IS) jihadist group has committed several brutal acts against civilians in Nigeria, including the kidnapping of 276 schoolgirls in 2014.
