Nigeria's Boko Haram terrorist group attacked two villages in northern Cameroon, killing 10 people, Al Bawaba News reported. A Cameroonian officer told Reuters, on condition of anonymity, "The extremist group conductes series of attacks in Kolofata. The officer added that the militants fled to the Nigerian border after the army arrived at the villages. Boko Haram is a Nigerian Salafist jihadi group, founded in January 2002 by Mohammed Yusuf to apply the Islamic law (Sharia) on all the states of Nigeria. The group which pledged allegiance to the Islamic State (IS) jihadist group recently has committed several brutal acts against civilians in Nigeria, including the kidnapping of 276 schoolgirls in 2014.
