CAIRO, June 9, 2018 (MENA) – The new press and media bill is "balanced" in the way it addresses the functions of the different media bodies, Chairman of the National Press Authority (NPA) said Saturday. Karam Gabr said the new bill removed the ambiguity and overlaps concerning to duties of the three media bodies. The bill comes in fulfillment of the country's constitution, he said. It removes the obscurity surrounding the constitution's provisions and media-related laws and regulations, ensures the independence of the work of the different media bodies and guarantees better accountability and supervision, Gabr added
