CAIRO, June 3, 2018 (MENA) - A Cairo court has remanded a Lebanese woman in custody for 15 days pending a probe into a footage she had shared on her Facebook account that contained insults punishable by law. Public Prosecutor Nabil Sadeq had ordered that Mona al-Mazbouh be held for four days for insulting the Egyptian people. Al-Mazbouh was arrested before leaving Egypt following an arrest warrant issued against her. Al-Mazbouh should be tried in Egypt and serve any sentence the court might issue before being deported from the country. She will never be allowed to enter Egypt again.
