AMMAN, April 26, 2018 (MENA) - Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Abdel Moniem el Banna has held two separate meetings with his Jordanian counterpart Khaled Al Hneifat and UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment Thani bin Ahmed al Zeyoudi for talks on means to boost agricultural co-operation with Egypt. The talks were held on the sidelines of the meetings of the Arab Organisation for Agricultural Development (AOAD), currently held in Jordan. During his meeting with his Jordanian counterpart, el-Banna shed light on the importance of increasing the exchange of agricultural produce between both countries, in an effort to achieve Arab integration and improve the level of food security. El-Banna pointed out that Egypt has adopted new measures that would contribute to boosting exports of agricultural crops so as to open new markets abroad. He also congratulated Hneifat on his election as the head of the 35th round of the general assembly of the AOAD. At his meeting with the UAE minister, the two officials discussed promoting co-operation in the fields of transferring technology and improving skills of workers in the agriculture sectors.
