Cairo - Agriculture Minister Abdel Men'em el Banna discussed in a meeting with Georgian Ambassador Alexander Nalbandov ways of boosting agricultural cooperation and increasing the trade exchange of crops and agricultural products, in Cairo. Also, they touched on available agricultural opportunities in Egypt, especially in major national projects launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, notably the 1.5-million-feddan reclamation project and a project to establish 100,000 greenhouses, as well as the venture of breeding one million heads of cattle. The government is keen to encourage investors and improve the investment climate, particularly in the agricultural field, El Banna asserted. The underway national projects are expected to contribute to achieving a comprehensive and sustainable agriculture development, according to El Banna. For his part, Nalbandov stressed that his country is willing to bolster cooperation with Egypt and develop agricultural ties.
