CAIRO, April 2, 2018 - Minister of Petroleum and Metallurgical Wealth, Tarek el-Mulla, chaired on Monday the meeting of the Supreme Committee for Turning Egypt into an Energy Hub to follow up the implementation of this national project. The committee comprises representatives of a number of ministries and authorities concerned. During the meeting, Minister el-Mulla pointed out that the implementation of this project adopts the scientific and analytical approach, making best use of Egypt's potentials that enable it to play this pivotal role. He also underlined the paramount importance of constant co-ordination with all ministries and authorities concerned to speed up work on this project. According to the minister, the committee is in charge of offering the required technical and logistical support with the key aim of eliminating any obstacles. The implementation strategy also includes activating and boosting co-operation with the European Union besides fostering strategic energy partnerships with many Arab countries such as Jordan and Iraq.
