CAIRO, April 2 (MENA) – A navigation line to be operated between Egypt and Sudan is aimed at boosting bilateral tourist ties, Minister of Transport Hisham Arafat said Sunday. An agreement has been signed to operate the line linking Egypt's Aswan with Sudan's Wadi Halfa under the Nile Valley Authority for River Navigation. Minister of Water Resources Mohamed Abdel Atti said the agreement represents an Egyptian dream to turn the River Nile into a driver of economic growth to all the Nile Basin countries. Minister of Tourism Rania el Mashat praised the agreement as a way to revive the river tourism in Egypt. In the meantime, Sudan's ambassador in Cairo said the agreement reflects integration of the two countries.
