CAIRO, April 1, 2018 - Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla said on Sunday that Egyptian Drilling Company (EDC) seeks to increase its activities, which boosts the local economy. El-Molla added that there is a great opportunity for EDC to compete internationally for onshore or offshore worls, which witness a growing demand. The Minister noted that the opportunity is high for the Egyptian Drilling Company as many international oil and gas companies are looking forward to increase the number of discoveries and exploration works. According to the Chairman of EDC, Salah Abdel Kareem: "The Company achieved a growth in the operation rates of drilling equipment and expanded its client base." Abdel Kareem added that the company is seeking to increase its operations in the Arab countries such as Iraq, Kuwait and Oman during the coming period, noting that it has renewed its contacts in Saudi Arabia for the coming three years.
