ADEN, March 24, 2018 (News agencies) - Yemeni military forces supported by Popular Resistance Forces and the Arab Coalition aircrafts were able on Saturday to liberate the strategic camp of Taiba from the grip Houthi militias in the district of Bart al-Anan, north of Al-Jawf governorate. The Taiba military camp is considered strategic as Houthis used as the area as a gathering point for its militants and the mobilization of reinforcements from Saada and other areas as it separates the provinces of Saada and al-Jawf. By liberating the camp, Yemen's legitimate armed forces will be able to cut off the militias' supply lines from Dahra and Wadi al-Qaif. A large-scale military operation was launched a few days ago in which the army succeeded in recovering large areas in the district of Bart al-Anan. Yemen's army and Popular Resistance forces on Wednesday liberated the strategic Al-Hodeidah and Al-Astourah mountains in Al-Bayda after storming the Houthi-held sites, Saudi state TV Al-Ekhbariya reported. The Yemeni army and Popular Resistance forces also recovered a large cache of Houthi weapons from mount Al-Hodeidah after clashes with the militias. Dozens were killed, including a senior Houthi commander in mount Al-Dhahr and two of his companions, while several others were wounded. At least 25 Houthis were captured.
