CAIRO, March 20 (MENA) - The Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) Tuesday denied reports posted on some websites and social media pages about giving vacation to all schools during the presidential election days. The rumour has been circulated since February despite the fact that the cabinet had denied it then, the center said. Students, and not teachers, in some schools to be used as polling stations will be given a vacation during election days on March 26-28 while all other schools will be operated normally. The Minister of Education, Tarek Shawki has directed the education directorates to compensate for the wasted school days and catch up with the set timetable for the 2017/2018 curriculum. The ministry urged all mass media to be accurate and objective in publishing any news items and to contact the bodies concerned to verify news before sharing it.
