CAIRO, March 13, 2018 - THE Minister of Religious Endowments (Waqfs), Dr Mohamed Mukhtar Gomaa, yesterday warned against using mosques in any election campaign propaganda before and during the presidential elections, which starts on March 26 for voters inside the country. Gomaa was speaking in a conference held in Al Azhar entitled "The Effect of the Friday Sermons on building the individual and society". He pointed out that preserving the safety and security of the society is the core of Islam and its teachings. In his speech, he urged the citizens to participate in the March elections, saying that it is a religious and national duty.
