CAIRO, March 12 (MENA) - Secretary General of the Higher Council for Media Regulation (HCMR) Ahmed Selim said that the Council has taken serious steps towards establishing an African TV to broadcast all issues of concern to the black continent, and he stressed that African media should play a significant role in addressing the world. The remarks were made during Selim's meeting with an Arab-speaking African media delegation that is participating in the 19th training course for Radio and Television. The course is organised by the HCMR training center in cooperation with the Egyptian Foreign Ministry as part of constant coordination at the African level. Selim also briefed the participants on conditions in Egypt after January 25 and June 30 revolutions. He also highlighted President Sisi's remarks on the need for directing more attention to Africa, noting that Egypt has strongly returned to Africa after Sisi's election in 20l4. Selim also shed light on the role of HCMR after June 30 revolution and the need for the regulation of the media work in Egypt .
