Cairo, March 8, 2018 - Egypt and France signed on Thursday four co-operation agreements in the fields of energy, transport, healthcare and small- and medium-sized enterprises worth 60 million euros The deals included a 1.5-million euro grant to finance technical support in the field of energy in Egypt. Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker and Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr signed the agreement with French Ambassador in Cairo Stephane Roumtier and the director of the French Development Agency (AFD) office in Cairo Stephanie Lanfranchi. Another grant agreement worth 8 million euros was signed to upgrade Al-Ramllah tram in Alexandria. Minister Nasr, the French ambassador in Cairo and AFD director inked the deal. Egyptian and French officials also signed two other agreements worth Ä130,000 and 50 million euros, respectively, to support primary healthcare services as well as small- and medium-sized enterprises run by women.
