CAIRO, March 6, 2018 - Egypt's police said on Tuesday that they arrested 77 suspects and seized 86 fire arms that were in their possession. The weapons included 15 automatic rifles, 19 hunting rifles, 11 pistols, 40 locally-made handguns, 169 bullets and three clips. All the necessary legal measures have been taken against the suspects and the police said that they would pursue their crackdown against criminal elements nationwide. Today's crackdown comes as part of efforts made by security forces to control crime in all its forms, including smuggling, illegal trafficking and weapons possession. In recent weeks, the security forces have been ramping up its efforts in order to beef up stability nationwide and put an end to terrorism.
