LUXOR, Egypt, March 2, 2018 - The occupancy rate at Luxor hotels has reached 75 per cent, the highest in seven years, amid an unprecedented flow of tourists to the city, a tourism official said on Friday. The high tourist inflow proves the success of preparations made for the winter season, Ramadan el-Haggag, the head of the Chamber of Tourism Companies in Luxor, added. He said a large number of tourists visited the ancient sites in Luxor in the last 48 hours amid optimism on the part of tourist guides and hotel workers in the city. He praised efforts made by Tourism Minister Rania el-Mashat in solving the problems facing the tourism sector as well as the work done by Luxor Governor Mohamed Badr to help tourism workers do their job properly.
