CAIRO, March 2, 2018 --- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday that it was closely following up the case of the Egyptian student , Mariam Abdel Salam, who was assaulted on the hand of a group of girls in Nottingham, UK, recently. Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said that the Egyptian Consulate in London had taken rapid action by contacting the victim's father and investigated the incident. Abu Zeid said that the Egyptian Embassy had also called the British Foreign Ministry to take swift action for arresting whoever was involved in the Mariam case.
