China's Jasan Group to invest $100m in integrated textile, apparel complex in Qantara West
Published in Daily News Egypt on 14 - 12 - 2025

Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairperson of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), has signed a contract with Mao Yi Zhang, Chairperson and owner of Zhejiang Jiansheng Group, commercially known as Jasan Group, to establish a fully integrated textile and apparel industrial complex in the Qantara West Industrial Zone.
The project will be developed on an area of 300,000 square metres, with total investments of $100m (around EGP 4.7bn), fully self-financed. It will be implemented in three consecutive phases and will encompass the full textile value chain, including spinning and weaving, ready-made and sportswear manufacturing, seamless garments, socks and accessories, elastic fabrics, and dyeing activities.
According to SCZONE, around 90% of the project's output will be exported to global markets, with the remaining 10% allocated to the domestic market. Once fully operational, the complex is expected to generate approximately 6,000 direct jobs.
Gamal El-Din welcomed Jasan Group's entry into the Qantara West Industrial Zone, describing the project as a high-quality addition to Egypt's textile and garment industry. He highlighted that the company's fully integrated production model provides strong competitive advantages in terms of efficiency, quality and production capacity.
He added that Jasan Group's decision to locate in Qantara West reflects the zone's operational readiness, advanced infrastructure, competitive costs and strategic location near Mediterranean and Red Sea ports, enhancing access to international markets.
Gamal El-Din also noted that the number of projects in the Qantara West Industrial Zone has now reached 48, covering a total area of 3.26m square metres, with combined investments estimated at $1.325bn. These projects are expected to create around 69,665 direct jobs.
He stressed that SCZONE continues to intensify efforts to attract further foreign investments into the textiles and garments sector, supporting Egypt's strategy to expand industrial exports and advance sustainable economic growth.
Jasan Group is among the world's leading manufacturers of seamless garments, operating a fully integrated production system that includes spinning, dyeing, knitting, embroidery, printing and packaging, alongside a specialised research and development centre. The company holds internationally recognised certifications and supplies major global brands across the United States, Europe and Asia.
