Sokkar Mecca, China's JACK launch AI-powered sewing equipment in Egypt
Published in Daily News Egypt on 28 - 10 - 2025

Sokkar Mecca for Sewing Machines, a leading provider of advanced sewing solutions and the official agent of China's JACK in Egypt, has launched the latest JACK A5E-B AMH2 sewing machine, powered by artificial intelligence (AI).
The launch comes as part of Sokkar Mecca's strategy to introduce cutting-edge sewing technologies to Egypt's ready-made garment industry.
The announcement was made during a press conference attended by representatives of the media, delegates from JACK China, officials from the Productivity and Vocational Training Department at the Ministry of Industry, and several owners of leading ready-made garment factories in Egypt.
The new AI-integrated machine represents one of the latest generations of sewing technology, designed to optimise the production process through advanced stitching systems and a semi-dry motor that ensures continuous operation, even in cases of lint or oil accumulation. This enables garment factories to work with various types of fabrics efficiently, increase productivity, and maintain consistent product quality — aligning Egypt's garment manufacturing with global production standards.
Moataz Sokkar, General Manager of Sokkar Mecca for Sewing Machines, stated that the new model is specifically designed to strengthen the capabilities of garment factories in line with the state's efforts to deepen local manufacturing, attract foreign investment, and enhance Egypt's regional and global competitiveness. He added that the partnership reflects the integration of global innovation with local expertise, empowering Egypt's industrial sector to achieve tangible advances in performance and productivity.
For his part, the General Manager of JACK China for the African region revealed that JACK has already achieved global sales of more than one million units of this model. He emphasised that the rapid evolution of the garment industry necessitates adopting the latest production technologies that enable manufacturers to handle diverse fabrics and achieve the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
He further noted that the new machine suits various industrial scales — from small to large factories — offering flexible options to address production challenges through AI-driven features and a powerful motor capable of supporting large-scale operations.
In her remarks delivered on behalf of Ihab Abdallah Ramadan, Head of the Productivity and Vocational Training Department at the Ministry of Industry, Mona Helmy, General Manager of Programs and Specifications at the Department, affirmed that public-private sector cooperation remains a top priority for the Egyptian government, given its vital role in boosting employment and driving economic growth.
