Published in Daily News Egypt on 27 - 09 - 2025

The 78th edition of Cairo Fashion & Tex—the international exhibition for ready-made garments, fabrics, and production supplies—will open next Thursday under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and the Chamber of Ready-Made Garments and Textiles. The event is organised by Pyramids Group for International Exhibitions.
Mohamed El-Sherif, Chairperson of Pyramids Group, announced that this year's edition will see record participation with more than 650 local and international companies and brands. Delegations are expected from a wide range of countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, Italy, Turkey, and several other Arab and African nations.
The exhibition will feature a comprehensive programme that includes specialised design workshops supported by the Industry Ministry's Fashion & Design Center (FDC), alongside three days of panel discussions under the theme "Developing the Egyptian Industry... Your Path to Export."
El-Sherif noted that Cairo Fashion & Tex has become a key gateway for attracting foreign investment into Egypt's ready-made garments and textiles sectors. He expressed optimism that this edition will pave the way for significant export deals for Egyptian companies targeting markets in Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
This year's edition will also place special emphasis on young talents and emerging Egyptian designers, aiming to nurture a new generation of creatives capable of competing globally. The growing reliance on locally sourced materials and innovative designs is expected to further strengthen Egypt's competitive edge.
Concluding his remarks, El-Sherif stressed that the 78th edition represents a major milestone for Egypt's exhibitions industry and reinforces Cairo's position as a leading fashion and textile hub in the Middle East and Africa.
