Serbian President vows to strengthen ties with Egypt, announces direct flights at Business Forum

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic delivered a keynote address at the Serbia-Egypt Business Forum on Sunday, underlining the importance of the event in fostering closer ties between the two nations.
President Vucic highlighted trade, tourism, and other areas of cooperation as key beneficiaries of the forum.
He commended Egypt for its achievement in constructing the New Administrative Capital, drawing parallels to Serbia's own infrastructure projects and emphasizing the long-term value of such initiatives.
Looking forward, President Vucic stressed the start of a new era of collaboration between Serbia and Egypt, expressing his commitment to achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
He invited Egyptian companies to participate in Expo 2027 in Belgrade, showcasing their expertise and exploring opportunities for project involvement in Serbia.
Acknowledging limitations in transportation links, President Vucic announced the imminent resumption of direct flights between Belgrade and Cairo by Air Serbia, aiming to facilitate travel and business connections.
President Vucic expressed optimism about Serbia's economic prospects, anticipating a growth rate exceeding 4% and outlining his ambition for even higher growth and a business-friendly environment.
While acknowledging global challenges that may affect foreign direct investment, President Vucic reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening cooperation with Egypt.
He emphasized the importance of solidarity among independent and strong nations in navigating the current global climate.
Underscoring the deep friendship and shared interests between Serbia and Egypt, President Vucic expressed admiration for President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's leadership and the efforts of the Egyptian government. He concluded by reiteratingSerbia's unwavering commitment to deepening its relationship with Egypt across various sectors, expressing confidence in achieving shared prosperity and mutual advancement.
