Egyptian exports jumped 19.2% in first 11 months of 2022, to $46.9bn

Egyptian exports increased by 19.2% to record $46.9bn during the first 11 months of 2022, compared to $39.3bn during the same period in 2021, according to government data.
The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said on Wednesday, that Turkey topped the countries to which Egyptian exports went during the first 11 months of 2022, with a value of $3.5bn, followed by Spain with a value of $3.3bn, then Italy with a value of $3.1bn, then Saudi Arabia with a value of $2.2bn, then America with a value of $2.1bn.
The UAE came in sixth place with a value of $1.8bn, then South Korea with a value of $1.8bn, followed by the Netherlands with a value of $1.7bn, then China with a value of $1.7bn, then France with a value of $1.7bn.
These ten countries acquired 45.1% of the total value of Egyptian exports across the globe, at a value of $21.2bn during the first 11 months of 2022.
Regarding the top ten commodities that Egypt exported during the first 11 months of 2022, liquefied natural gas came in the lead, with a value of $8.8bn, then fertilizers with a value of $3b, then crude oil with a value of $2.9bn.
In fourth place came petroleum products with a value of $2.8bn, then ready-made garments with a value of $2.3bn, then plastics in their primary forms with a value of $1.7bn, then fresh fruits with a value of $1.5bn, then dough and various food preparations with a value of $917.9m then bars, sticks, angles and iron wires with a value of $402m, then potatoes, at $371.6m.
CAPMAS indicated that these commodities accounted for 52.7% of the total value of Egyptian exports to various countries of the world, at a value of $24.7bn during the first 11 months of 2022.
