Hermes topped stockbrokers in November with a turnover of EGP 8bn

Hermes Securities Brokerage topped the list of brokerage companies on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) in terms of trading value in the main market, including bonds and deals, during November's dealings with a turnover of EGP 8.02bn through trading volumes of 2.5 billion shares.
The International Commercial Securities came in second place with a rate of 10.5%, then the Financial Group for Brokerage in Securities with a turnover of EGP 7.9bn and a trading volume of 1.1 billion shares.
They were followed by Arqaam Securities Brokerage with a turnover of EGP 3.5bn, then Pioneers Securities Brokerage with a turnover of EGP 3.1bn and a trading volume of 1.7 billion shares.
The main index of the EGX closed 16.5% higher at the end of last month's trading, and the EGX70 EWI index rose by 14.7%, ending the period at 2,583 points.
Total trading value during the month of November amounted to EGP 44.4bn through a trading volume of 13.8 billion shares across 1.3 million transactions, compared to a total trading value of EGP 44.5bn and a trading volume of 11 billion securities executed across 962,000 transactions.
The market capital of the EGX increased by EGP 105.5bn in November, closing the market capitalisation of listed shares at EGP 870bn, compared to EGP 764.7bn at the end of October's trading — a rise of 13.8%.
Egyptians recorded 75% of the total trading on listed shares, while foreigners accounted for 15% and Arabs 9.6%, after excluding deals.
In related news, Arabiya Online Securities Brokerage topped the list of brokerage companies on the EGX in terms of trading value on the Nile Stock Exchange with a trading value of EGP 21.3m and trading volumes of 39.2 million shares.
In second place came Tycoon Securities Brokerage Company with a turnover of EGP 20.8m, then Ostool Securities Brokerage Company with a turnover of EGP 15.6m.
Next up is Mubasher International Securities Brokerage with a turnover of EGP EGP 15.1m and a trading volume of 36.6 million shares, followed by Hermes Securities Brokerage with a trade value of EGP 14.1bn and a trading volume of 17.6 million shares.
In the OTC market, Cairo Capital Securities Brokerage topped the list of brokerage companies on the EGX in terms of the value of OTC trading with a trading value of EGP 762.5m and a volume of 72.4m shares.
Global Invest Securities Trading Company came in second place with a rate of 11.2%, then Metro Securities Trading with a turnover of EGP 285.7m, then Al-Ahly Pharos for Securities Brokerage with a turnover of EGP 283.5m, followed by Fleet for Securities Brokerage with a turnover of EGP 189.7m.
