Cairo, Algiers discuss boosting trade exchange, inter-investment
The President expressed his pride in Tebboune's recent two-day visit to Egypt in January, stressing the distinguished fraternal bilateral relations between the two countries.

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi received a phone call from President of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Wednesday, in which they discussed the developments of a number of regional issues of common interest, especially the situation in Libya.
The President expressed his pride in Tebboune's recent two-day visit to Egypt in January, stressing the distinguished fraternal bilateral relations between the two countries.
He also expressed Egypt's aspiration to push forward the frameworks of bilateral cooperation at various levels with regard to strengthening channels of communication between the two countries at the economic level, maximising the volume of trade exchange and increasing investments and interfaith.
Furthermore, Al-Sisi stressed the need to hold the next session of the Joint Higher Committee at the level of the prime ministers of the two countries as soon as possible, as well as strengthening security and military cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady stated that the Algerian president expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality he received during his recent visit, which witnessed many fruitful discussions between the two sides.
The Algerian president also stressed Algeria's pride in the distinguished and close ties that bind it with Egypt at the official and popular levels and its interest in intensifying bilateral cooperation and coordination in all fields, especially in terms of economic affairs and security.
Rady added that the phone call discussed the developments of a number of regional issues of mutual concern, especially the situation in Libya, where visions were agreed upon regarding the importance of strengthening the relevant Egyptian-Algerian coordination frameworks in order to achieve the major goal of empowering will of the Libyan people by supporting the institutions of the Libyan state and the current efforts to achieve security and stability, and preserve the unity and sovereignty of the country.
