British Council, IKD support Egypt's creative industries' entrepreneurs
First version of DICE National Awards kicked off in December
Published in Daily News Egypt on 31 - 12 - 2019

The British Council and Integrated Knowledge Dynamics (IKD) agreed to implement a new project to support Egypt's creative industries' entrepreneurs through the council's Developing Inclusive and Creative Economies (DICE) programme.
Both parties launched the first version of DICE National Awards in December for Egyptians who aim to begin their businesses in the diversified fields of creative industries including handcrafts, music, theatres performances, cultural and heritage projects, information technology, software, and technological applications.
"The new cooperation with the British council aims at assisting Egyptians who hope to start their businesses in creative industries to transform their ideas into real solutions for current social issues," Mohamed Kholief, IKD's chairperson told Daily News Egypt
IKD will organise a free of charge-series of workshops and training sessions to provide the participants with the needed knowledge while they will get the financial support through the wards, Kholief added, asserting, "our targeted areas are Delta governorates, Upper Egypt, and Greater Cairo so that we can contribute to the country's development."
Egyptians who wish to participate in DICE National Awards are encouraged to fill out an online form before 4 January 2020, Kholief concluded.
DICE is an ambitious programme that will support the development of creative and social enterprises in the UK and five key emerging economies including Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, and South Africa.
Aiming to foster inclusive growth and progress on the sustainable development goals, DICE will take an innovative, cross-sectoral approach which draws on UK expertise with creative and social economies, according to the British Council's online website.
