Thomas Cook to book flights to Sharm El-Sheikh in November
All programmes will be cancelled if government travel ban continues, according to Thomas Cook's statement
Published in Daily News Egypt on 16 - 03 - 2017

Thomas Cook said it will fly several trips to Sharm El-Sheikh starting November.
On its website, the company noted that the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) still has a ban on flights to Sharm El-Sheikh, adding that if the travel warning does not change, the programme will be cancelled.
Thomas Cook pointed out that clients' safety is the company's top priority.
Britain has banned its nationals from travelling to Sharm El-Sheikh after the fall of the Russian aircraft at the end of October 2015.
Following the incident, Britain evacuated its nationals from Egypt through 29 flights from Sharm El-Sheikh.
The cost of travel programmes to Sharm El-Sheikh on Thomas Cook's website begins at £600 per two persons, including flight tickets for a one-week stay.
Visitors on the programme will stay at Radisson, Sunrise, and Hilton hotels in Sharm El-Sheikh.
The British Monarch Airlines listed Thomas Cook and Thomson Flights on its website.
For his part, British ambassador to Cairo John Casson said that the decision was made solely by the companies, noting that the British government did not change the travel warning to Sharm El-Sheikh.
The total number of British tourists in 2015 had declined to 869,000, down from 906,000 in 2014.
