Ismaili overcome Mahalla, Petrojet beat Ittihad

CAIRO: Ismaili beat Ghazl Mahalla 2-0 in the Egyptian Premier League game played in IsmailiYa on Wednesday.
Omar Gamal scored the Hosts opener in the 7th minute, before Abdullah Saied wrapped up The Dervishes win with a header 12 minutes from time.
Ismaili are now level on 48 points with league leaders Ahly, with the Red Devils having one game in hand.
Also in the league, Petrojet kept the pressure on both Ahly and Ismaili with a 1-0 win over Ittihad in Suez.
Ahmed Shaaban scored the only goal of the game midway through the second half.
Ittihad had to finish the game with 10 men after defender Ahmed Zaghloul was dismissed in the 68th minute.
While Petrojet are now third in the table with 46 points, Ittihad remain sixth on 36.
