Ismaili crushed Tersana 3-0 to set up a meeting against Ahli in an Egyptian Premier League decider after the Red Devils snatched a late 3-1 victory over Gaish in a thrilling finale. The Dervishes, who were level on points with Ahli prior to their last game, looked on course to win their first league title since 2002 after brushing aside Tersana. Three goals from Mohab Saied, Mohamed Hommos and Abdullah Saied gave Ismaili an easy victory at Suez Canal Stadium. Ahli, who needed a win to remain on equal terms with Ismaili, were trailing 1-0 at Military Academy until a stoppage-time strike from Ahmed Fathi sent the home fans into ruptures. Substitute Mohamed Talaat added a third just before the final whistle to deny fierce rivals Ismaili from wrapping up the title. Both sides will meet in a playoff match on Sunday at Harras Hodoud's Max Stadium. It will be the third meeting between Ahli and Ismaili in such a decisive game. Ismaili defeated Ahli 2-0 in 1991 but the Cairo giants had the upper hand three years later, winning 4-3 Easy Win Ismaili laid siege to Tersana's area from the very beginning, thanks to the energetic moves of versatile midfielder Mohab Saied. Saied orchestrated the hosts' attack and scored the opener himself after 12 minutes. Wing-back Ahmed Samir Farag darted down the left and provided a low cross for the unmarked Saied, who fired into the roof of the net from inside the area. Ismaili could have put the result beyond doubt before the break but they wasted a host of clear-cut opportunities. Tersana's sloppy defending allowed defender Sherif Abdul-Fadil to go clear on goal after 14 minutes but keeper Ahmed Saad rushed out of his goal to block his shot. Moments later, Moatassem Salem's powerful shot from the edge of the area struck the bar. Ismaili playmaker Abdullah Saied had a header that was cleared off the line by Tersana full-back Islam Al-Taher two minutes before the break. The Dervishes remained the dominant force in the second period and easily ensured their victory amid little resistance from Tersana. On 63 minutes, Hommos latched onto a splendid pass from Saied to flick the ball over his marker and head past the onrushing Saad. Abdullah Saied completed the rout eight minutes from time with a fierce shot that went in at the near post.
