CAIRO: Zamalek foreign duo Ricardo and Wissem El-Abdi will be suspended and put on the transfer list, the club said on Sunday. Zamalek s official website stated that both players lack of discipline during the previous week will be met by "strict action against them. Brazilian full-back Ricardo ruled himself out of last Saturday s draw with Arab Contractors for no reason, as he was absent from training afterwards. Whereas Tunisian international center-half El-Abdi was accused of "faking injury. El-Abdi will train with fitness coach Amr Matarawi, who will make the final decision regarding the authenticity of his injury claim. These decisions are necessary in order to restore stability inside the team, Zamalek football director Ahmed Refaat said. In the same context, Zamalek will promote five youngsters from the U-21 team to train with the first team, in an attempt to reinforce the squad. Should Ricardo and El-Abdi leave the club in January, Zamalek will have two empty slots for foreign players in the winter break.
