President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with Emirati foreign minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan in Cairo on Thursday, according to a statement from the presidency. Abdullah also met with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry and Emirati ambassador to Cairo Gomaa Al-Genieby. Presidency spokesperson Alaa Youssef said that Abdullah told Al-Sisi during the meeting that UAE is keen to maintain discussions and bilateral cooperation with Egypt at the regional level. Meanwhile, Al-Sisi asserted Egypt's willingness to develop diplomatic relations with the UAE in political, economic, military and security fields. Both Al-Sisi and Abduallah reviewed the regional security challenges and conflicts and potential ways to combat them.
