Egypt's Khalil and Metwaly Eissa win 2016 French Open Squash
Egyptian AlHassan Khalil won the under 13 years male's division in the 2016 French Open Squash in Lille, France from 18 to 21 February

Egyptian squash champions stood out in the French Open Squash tournaments, as Egyptians champions have before them: Ramy Ashour is currently ranked fourth internationally, Ahmed El-Mahelmy, Mazen Hesham Ga Sabry currently ranked thirteenth internationally, Mostafa Monatser, Mostafa El-Serty, and Moahmed Ismael won the under 13 years male's division in 1999, 2003, 2007, 2012, 2013, and 2015, respectively.
Egyptian squash champion Mohamed El-Shorbagy, ranked the first internationally, surprised the world by winning the Squash Colombia Open 2016, which concluded its events on 20 February in Cartagena, Colombia. Egyptian AlHassan Khalil won the under 13 years male's division in the 2016 French Open Squash in Lille, France from 18 to 21 February. In the final match, Khalil won over the English player Oliver Green with the score of 11-13, 12-10, 11-7, 8-11 and 11-8, and the final score of 3-2.
Egyptian female squash champion Jana Metwaly Eissa won the 2016 French Junior Open Squash in the under 13 years' female's division after defeating US player Lucie Stefanoni with the score of 4-11, 11-2, 12-10, 7-11, and 11-6 and the final score of 3-2.
With these recent victories in both male and female squash competitions, Egypt continues to gain prominence in the sport worldwide.
As for the under 15 years male's division, it went to Egyptian champions Omar Refaat, Ahmed Abdel Latif, Osama Khalifa, Blal Nawar, and Mostafa El-Serty, in 1999, 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2015, respectively. In 2005, 2007, 2009, and 2010, Egyptian players Omar Tarek Mahmoud, Andrew Wagih Shoukry, Mohamed El-Sherif, and Mostafa Bayoumy, respectively, won the under 17 years male's division.
The under 19 years male division went to Egyptian players Wael El-Hindi and Tarek Momen in 1999 and 2004, respectively.
Egyptians female champions Haidi Lala, Nadine Shahien, and Perien Abou Seada won the under 13 years female division, in 2007, 2010, and 2012, respectively. The under 15 years female division went for Egyptian players Ghada Essam, Farida Aboul Dahab, Salma El-Defrway, Nada Ehab Aly, and Engy Hamouda in 1998, 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2014, respectively.
Egyptian player Omenya Abdel Kawy, currently ranked sixth internationally and whose highest international ranking was fourth in 2010, won the under 17 years' female division in 1999. In the same year, Egyptian player Engy Kheirallah won the under 19 years female's division.
