Al-Ahly SC has suspended its player Ahmed Abdel Zaher and put his wages on hold, according to a statement on the Club's official website on Monday. The football committee in Al-Ahly held its meeting on Monday with the presidency of club's chairman Hassan Hamdy and took the decision. The committee added that Football Department Manager Hady Khashaba and Football director Sayed Abdel Hafiz will interrogate the player. The results of the interrogation will be submitted to the club's emergency board meeting on Tuesday. The football committee members are Hamdy, Khashaba, Abdel Hafiz and Club Vice President Mahmoud Al-Khatib. Abdel Zaher scored Al-Ahly's second goal against South African side Orlando Pirates in the African Champions League final. While celebrating his goal, Abdel Zaher raised the four-finger Rabaa-sign. Al-Ahly won the game 2-0 and claimed the trophy for the eighth time.
