Google for Entrepreneurs announced Wednesday its support for The Giza Library, a new co-working space set up to cater to entrepreneurs. The Giza Library will boast a device library for start-up businesses, enabling them to test their products and services using the library's resources, tools and facilities, and providing a platform for entrepreneurs to learn and cooperate. "Our vision for the Giza Library is to create a place that gives entrepreneurs access to resources with domain, technical and market expertise, and the opportunity to collaborate and grow," said Hany Al Sonbaty, the project's founder. Google is supporting the enterprise. "Entrepreneurs and the drive for innovation are the backbone of a healthy economy," said Wael El-Fakharany, the company's regional manager in Egypt and North Africa. "Google supports entrepreneurship [through this partnership] to provide a community for start-ups to meet, engage and collaborate," he said. With this in mind, the library will host Google Business Groups and Google Developer meet-ups and trainings, among other programmes designed to meet the tech needs of startups. The library will aim to build a programme of events and classes across a wide range of topics, such as technical development and design, business planning, management and operations, emerging technologies and business models. It will also design programs targeted to industries and vertical markets like mobile and software applications, e-commerce, health, education and many more.
