Former Egyptian member of parliament and Freedom and Justice party member, Taleb Hassan Al-Brince, said “Google and You Tube should be punished and boycotted for not deleting the offensive video." However, the company did say it was blocking access to the 13-minute clip of the US-made anti-Islam film in Egypt and Libya, and that they applied limited supervised access for the clip in Indonesia and India. They said they did so in accordance with local laws in the relevant countries and not because the political pressure. On Sunday, the legal development delegation (EALD) along with Ofok Human Network (OHN) filed a law suit against Google for their failure to remove the video. They hope to force the closure of Google Egypt, or fine the company USD two billion. Ahmed Nagi, the media representative of (OHN), said “these issues should not be taken lightly; they should suffer the consequences for their actions. Egypt will not be pushed around." Prime Minister Hesham Qandil also added in the law suit that Google should be obligated to formally apologise to Muslims all over the world, for allowing the video defaming Islam to be published. Al-Brince said “the Egyptian youth should consider creating their own search engine that is better than Google, and whoever is up to it will be funded by the government, because the revolution also supports innovations and scientific progress." Essam Rehab, political expert at the Legal Development delegation, said “this law suit will not be taken seriously by courts unless we give it the utmost attention by our best lawyers, who believe in the cause and want to gain back the dignity of the Muslim people that was cracked by the offensive video."
