Published in Daily News Egypt on 26 - 11 - 2010

CAIRO: Oxford Business Group (OBG), the global publishing, research and consultancy firm, has bolstered its operations in Egypt ahead of its new country report by forging links once again with (CI) Capital.
In a second year of collaboration, CI Capital will pool resources with OBG's research and editorial team to produce the Capital Markets chapter of The Report: Egypt 2011, the Group's forthcoming business guide on the country's economic activity and investment opportunities.
CI Capital, the investment banking arm of Egypt's Commercial International Bank (CIB) is a market leader in Investment Banking, Securities Brokerage and Asset Management, and boasts an award Research team.
OBG's Country Director in Egypt, Basak Pasali, said she looked forward to building on the sterling work that CI Capital's team had carried out during the compilation of data for the Group's 2010 publication.
“Oxford Business Group's last report looked in detail at the wide-ranging economic reforms taking place in Egypt, which include extensive changes to the financial services sector,” she said. “CI Capital's significant contribution to the Capital Markets chapter undoubtedly brought an added dimension to our 2010 publication and I am confident that its years of experience in investment banking and local market knowledge will raise the bar once again as we begin the groundwork for The Report: Egypt 2011.”
Karim Helal, CI Capital's Group CEO, highlighted the importance of ensuring that the international business community was kept informed of Egypt's changing economic landscape.
“The government's reforms are producing significant developments across the sectors. We are in the midst of heightened industrial activity, while our financial services industry has witnessed the rebranding of the main stock index and exchange,” he said.
“I am delighted that CI Capital will once again play a part in documenting Egypt's ongoing economic development and investment opportunities by contributing to Oxford Business Group's highly anticipated 2011 report.”
The Report: Egypt 2011 will be a guide to the many facets of the country, including its macroeconomics, infrastructure, political landscape, banking and other sectoral developments.
