Mido approached by Turkish side
Published in Daily News Egypt on 13 - 07 - 2010

CAIRO: Mido has been approached by a Turkish side and the Middlesbrough striker is considering joining the unnamed club starting next season.
"I have received a worthwhile offer from a Turkish club and I will make up my mind within the next few days," Mido told FilGoal.com.
The former Tottenham Hotspur star kept his suitor anonymous, saying the bid was not made by Fenerbahce, Galatasaray or Besiktas.
"They (the club) offered me a higher wage than that I'm paid at Middlesbrough but money is not my primary goal," Mido explained.
"I want to play in a team where I guarantee a regular starting berth."
The 27-year-old does not have much of a chance to play first-team football with Boro for the arrival of Scottish hitman Kris Boyd at the Riverside this summer.
Premiership offers
Mido stated that he turned down two Premiership sides of late because their offers were not up to scratch.
"Last season I accepted a cut-price offer from West Ham United but I won't do it again, and that's why I rejected both bids," he explained.
Mido has been struggling long to rediscover his goal-scoring form.
He surprisingly joined boyhood club Zamalek last summer on loan after Middlesbrough were relegated to the English second division but he could not make the expected impact in Cairo.
The towering striker scored just one goal during his short Zamalek spell and failed to fulfill his main objective in Egypt - earning a call up to the national team's squad for the African Cup of Nations.
Having missed out on Hassan Shehata's roster for the tournament which the Pharaohs won for a third consecutive time, Mido opted to cut short his Zamalek stint.
He moved to Premier League outfit West Ham in January on another short loan deal only for £1,000 a week but could not score any goals for the Hammers.
