Zamalek boss Hassan delighted at 'satisfactory' result
Published in Daily News Egypt on 09 - 12 - 2009

CAIRO: Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan says he considers his side s goalless draw with Ahly a satisfying result.
The White Knights and their arch-rivals Ahly played out a tame draw on Tuesday in the Egyptian Premier League.
Hassan, who has been in charge of Zamalek for the last two games following the sacking of French tactician Henri Michel, believes that the ailing Cairo side are improving.
The result is satisfactory. Zamalek are gradually overcoming their poor form, former Egypt star Hassan told the post-match news conference.
We had clear-cut chances. Mido [Ahmed Hossam] could have turned the match upside down if he had scored, when he went one-on-one with the keeper.
Towering striker Mido was close to notching an early opener, but his low shot missed the target by inches. The former Roma man wasted several more scoring opportunities afterwards.
Although he s convinced that the goalless stalemate with Ahly was a good result, he assured that he was hoping for a victory.
I always want to win, added Egypt s most-capped player and all-time top scorer Hassan.
Zamalek are yet to score their first win under the management of Hassan.
The 43-year-old failed to help the five-time African champions end their losing streak on his debut on Thursday against Harras Hodoud, who won the league game 2-1.
Zamalek lost to Police Union, Ghazl Mahalla and Harras Hodoud on the trot before drawing with Ahly. They were condemned to six defeats overall this season.
