CAIRO: Zamalek goalkeeper Abdel-Wahed Al-Sayed said he hopes to see club mate Mohamed Abdel-Monsef returning to the national team in the near future. Al-Sayed took over from Abdel-Monsef as Zamalek number one this season, but the former paid tribute to his goalkeeping rival, who has recently lost his place in the Egypt roster. Zamalek captain Al-Sayed believes that Abdel-Monsef has a good chance of making the Pharaohs' squad, with the recent stumbling of Ahly s Amir Abdel-Hamid. I hope Monsef could get the opportunity to play with Zamalek in the upcoming few weeks in order to return to the national team, Al-Sayed told Modern Sport TV. Monsef is a fine goalkeeper and he was a regular member of the Egypt squad in recent years. I think he has a good chance of joining me and Essam Al-Hadari, because Amir Abdel-Hamid s chances have become limited. Al-Sayed is expected to be recalled by Hassan Shehata for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Zambia, alongside first-choice keeper Al-Hadari.
