'Bored' Saied could quit football
Published in Daily News Egypt on 22 - 08 - 2007

Ankaragucu defender Ibrahim Saied revealed that he is having a tough time at his new club and that he could be forced into announcing an early retirement.
The 27-year old stopper joined the Turkish side this summer from Rizespor, but he seems to be having problems adapting to his new club despite enjoying a fine campaign with Rize last season.
I am starting to get bored with football, life is becoming very difficult for me in Turkey, I can t settle here and if the situation remains like this, I might put an end to my career, Saied exclusively told FilGoal.com.
Despite the club s perfect start to the new season, having won two games out of two, Saied is unhappy with his current status at Ankara.
Apart from the club s financial problems, the manager is treating me as a backup player and I am playing for very short spells, he added.
It is impossible to live in a foreign country and be in a team where you cannot get paid regularly or play regularly.
Saied was brought in as a late substitute in Ankaragucu s last two games against Ankaraspor and Denizlispor but the unsettled defender won t be able to leave the club before January as he has just arrived.
The Egypt defender has been desperate to seal a move to his former club Ahli since last season, but his efforts were in vain as the Egyptian champions showed no interest in the former Everton defender.
However, Saied is renewing his attempts to secure a return to Egypt during the winter transfer window or else he could call it a day on his football career.
I will try my best to join Ahli in January, actually I ve been in contact with a club official recently and I hope I learn my fate soon or else I may quit the game, he said.
I have been approached by Zamalek as well via ex-coach Henri Michel, but the board blocked the move.
