It was her eyes that first caught the attention of noted filmmaker Mohamed Karim. This chance meeting between Karim and silver screen legend Madiha Youssri at Groppi launched her acting career. Youssri quickly became a household name, and even began producing her own films. In the early 1950s, she married the well-liked singer and actor Mohamed Fawzi. This was her second venture into marriage; the first to singer Mohamed Amin was driven by her desire to break free from her family's strict control. Fawzi, in the other hand, was a real life romance and together they had a son who died in a tragic car crash at a young age. Her third and last marriage was to Sheikh Ibrahim Salama El-Radi. She gave up acting for the marriage's four-year duration, after which she returned to the screen. Her performance in the popular television series, "Hawanim Garden City" (The Ladies of Garden City), was the last of 15 television appearances. /p
