Roberto Callieri, managing director of Suez Cement group of companies, and Moushira Khattab, secretary general of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, signed an agreement to provide an annual grant of LE 4.4 million for the children of Kafr El Elw and El Maasara, two underprivileged districts in Helwan. The signing of the agreement coincided with the regional conference "For the elimination of female genital mutilation: the Cairo Declaration + 5", co-sponsored by Suez Cement and under the auspices of First Lady Suzanne Mubarak, which took place in Cairo Dec. 14-15. "Through this new agreement and our partnership with the NCCM, we will continue to provide support to the schools and medical centers of the area and promote environmental and health awareness initiatives. During the second phase of the project 'For the smile of our children,' we will provide support to children with special needs," said Callieri. Photo shows Moushira Khattab and Roberto Callieri./p
