Raya opens support center in Smart Village

CAIRO: Prime Ministers Ahmed Nazif inaugurated the new center of Nokia s regional maintenance center in Smart Vilalge.
The center was established by Best Service Co., a Raya Holding subsidiary,
Tarek Kamel, minister of communications and information technology, and Ahmed Darwish, minister of state for administrative development also attended the inauguration.
"The new center is the biggest service center in the region with the capacity of repairing more than 1.4 million mobile phones a year, according to a press statement.
The center currently employs 300 engineers and technical professionals, and that number is expected to reach 1,000 over the coming three years.
The center offers technical support as well as a wide range of training facilities to enable engineers to repair Nokia mobile phones in the Middle and North Africa. The center also provides Level-4 Advanced Repair service for all the Nokia maintenance centers in the region. The new center also incorporates a professional call center providing remote technical support services.
Previously, these advanced technical services were provided by Nokia support center in Germany then Nokia international took the decision to transfer the support responsibility to Egypt.
This center was opened in Smart Village, modeled on international standards, because of Egypt's technical expertise and competitive costs.
The center was established in Raya s building in Smart Village, and cost LE 60 million in its first phase only.
Raya owns and operates two other level there mobile regional maintenance centers in Nigeria and Algeria.
Nokia awarded Raya the Biggest Service Partner for the Middle East & Africa (MENA), the Best Service Partner, and the Best Service Manager awards.
