No evidence: NY Post reports Boston Marathon suspect Saudi national
Published in Bikya Masr on 15 - 04 - 2013

In yet another strange reporting day from the New York Post, the newspaper is reporting that a man is currently being held by Boston police for his alleged role in the three explosions that took place three hours after the winners of the Boston Marathon had crossed the finish line on Monday.
The man is allegedly a Saudi Arabian national, however Bikyanews.com calls to the Boston police department has revealed that they do not have anyone yet in custody.
“We say at this point that we do not have any suspects in the bombings at this point,” one police official said.
But The Post reported that “investigators have a suspect – a Saudi Arabian national – in the horrific Boston Marathon bombings.”
“Law enforcement sources said the 20-year-old suspect was under guard at an undisclosed Boston hospital,” the report added. “Fox News reported that the suspect suffered severe burns.”
The newspaper continued to say that “it was not immediately clear why the man was hospitalized and whether he was injured in the attack or in his apprehension.
“The man was caught less than two hours after the 2:50 p.m. bombing on the finish line of the race, in the heart of Boston.”
At least two people have been killed and over 20 injured in bomb attacks Boston that followed the city's marathon on Monday afternoon. A third bomb exploded at the John F. Kennedy Library in the city.
It is still unclear what types of explosives were used, but a local sports store nearby had its windows blown out as a result.
According to eyewitnesses, at dozens of individuals have been injured in the violence.
About three hours after the winners crossed the line, there was a loud explosion on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the photo bridge that marks the finish line.
A police officer on the scene told Bikyanews.com “there are dozens of people injured and we are still trying to make sure everyone is accounted for and safe."
Panic ensued after the initial blast, which was followed shortly after by another blast.
Already, many are speculating Islamic groups as being responsible, although no actual information has been revealed that would lead to this conclusion.
