CAIRO: Media spokesman of the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party, Mourad Aly, said on Wednesday that the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) respects the court ruling to suspend the upcoming parliamentary elections which were scheduled for April. “We do not see a problem in referring the elections law to the Constitutional Court. We will await the decision of the High Committee for Elections,” Ali said in a statement published on the official page of the FJP, the political arm of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood. He added that the Party will not challenge the court order. The FJP's website also reported that another Party member, Fareed Ismail, said that he respects the court order. The ruling party has been getting ready to compete in the upcoming elections which was to be boycotted by Egypt's main opposition group, the National Salvation Front. The parliamentary elections were due to start in April 22 according to a decree issued by President Mohamed Mursi but Egypt's Administrative Court annulled his call for election, referring the parliamentary elections law to the High Constitutional Court.
