SINGAPORE: Singapore welcomed Thailand's Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on Sunday to the country in a visit that will see her meet with the country's top leaders during her stay. The Princess will be hosted to lunch by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife. Later in the afternoon, the Princess will meet Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Research Foundation Teo Chee Hean, and attend the Opening Ceremony of the Global Young Scientists Summit. During her stay, the Princess accompanied by Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan, will officiate a planting ceremony of a lychee tree she had donated to Gardens by the Bay. She will also visit the Singapore Philatelic Museum exhibition “The Postal Connection: Singapore and Thailand” and the Asian Civilisations Museum exhibition “Enlightened Ways: The Many Streams of Buddhist Art in Thailand”.
