SINGAPORE: Already the most watched pop star in history, Korea's Psy is heading to Singapore to give residents a rare chance to see the “Gangnam Style” star. And it's all for free. “I can't wait. I am so excited. He is my dream person to see live and I want to do the horse dance with all the people,” said Marina, a 22-year-old British resident of Singapore. She and her university friends told Bikyamasr.com that they will be lining up as early as possible to “get a good spot close to the stage.” The “Gangnam Style” music video has been viewed over 800 million times on the video-sharing site Youtube.com. The 34-year-old K-Pop star will be in Singapore on Saturday for the free concert. He is expected to perform the hit “Gangnam Style” at Marina Bay Sands' Event Plaza. On Monday, Marina Bay Sands announced on its Facebook page and in a statement to the media that free tickets would be given out to the first 4,000 fans who visited its official Facebook page to register their interest. Within two hours, all the complimentary tickets were snapped up. “We got ours, thank God,” said Marina. The concert is organized by Marina Bay Sands, and is part of its special “Give Back to Singapore” public showcase. Students from Marina Bay Sands' designated charity, O School, a performing arts center for youth, will also perform during the hour-long show.
