The Three Muskateers
Published in Bikya Masr on 17 - 01 - 2010

Whilst British MP George Galloway was in Latikia, Syria a fortnight ago, where he had be re routed by the Egyptians in an effort to get his Viva Palestina Convoy to Gaza, he mentioned that the next convoy, convoy 4 would include the Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
There has been no official statement from Venezuela as yet but knowing George, he wouldn't be saying that if it wasn't going to happen. He is always from what I have observed a man of his word and a courageous one at that.
So what then?
What happens when ‘Hugo' himself turn up driving an ambulance at the gates of Rafah?
Will the Egyptian security forces lay into him with sticks and stones and deport him?
Galloway and Chavez would make a formidable team I have to say, and what if other leaders like Evo Morales joins the convoy too? These Latin American countries are not shy when it comes to speaking out about Israeli and US foreign policy.
Can you imagine if these three musketeers turned up at Rafah all driving ambulances.
Can you imagine the press coverage that is going to generate across the world.
Maybe that's why Galloway has decided to bring these guys on board who knows, but if it is true it is going to be without a doubt what my TV channel is going to be tuned in to.
George is a wily old fox. He declared war on the ‘Tinpot Dictator of Egypt' live on television and said he would ‘ be back' like Swarzenegger with another convoy.
My money is on him doing just that.
Anyone for popcorn?
