Cairo: 300 Copts from the Copts Abroad organization in the Netherlands protested on Tuesday in front of the Dutch parliament and the International Court of Justice in Hague. Baha'a Ramzy, the Head of the Dutch Coptic Association confirmed in a special statement to Al Youm Al Saba'a that the protest was was attended by more than 300 people, despite the cold weather, and that the protesters had signs written in Dutch and Arabic protesting against what he called, “the persecution of Copts in Egypt.” He pointed out that the Dutch Coptic delegation presented a memorandum to the Dutch Parliament explaining all the violations and incidents that the Copts of Egypt have been subjected to, from the massacre of Kosheh in the Suhag governorate to the events of Farshoot in Assyiut. The delegation presented another memorandum to the Court of Justice before going to the Egyptian Embassy in Amsterdam headquarters. Sameh Soryal, a member of the Dutch Coptic Association, revealed that the Dutch Foreign Minister sent Cyril Sameh to request information from the Egyptian government about the recent events that have taken place against the Copts and pointed out that Dutch Christian Party participated in the demonstration.
