KUALA LUMPUR: A Singapore court has handed down a fine of S$3,000 to a wife after she stabbed her reportedly abusive husband four times during a recent fight. China Press reported that the unemployed husband had punched the 54-year-old woman before slapping her and hitting her body. He also accused her of cheating on him during the fight which started after she did not go to work on a public holiday. His wife retaliated by picking up a 10cm-long knife and stabbing him. However, she immediately alerted her relatives who called the ambulance and police for help. She pleaded guilty to a charge of grievously hurting her 51-year-old husband under grave and sudden provocation in the incident.
