SANA'A: Yemen officials said they were angry over the fact that the Pentagon had chosen not to share its intelligence on reports that al-Qaeda militants in Yemen were working towards a new type of bomb which they planned to use against an American aircraft in a repeat of the underwear bomber incident. The Yemeni Defense Minister came out and announced that he would allow the US to turn his country into another Pakistan and simply bomb as they please, regardless of the country's interests. Politicians and officials alike in Yemen this Tuesday had strong words to describe the lack of “cooperation” stressing that the government would demand to see the CIA file added that its intelligence services would perform their own inquiries. Allegedly al-Qaeda was planning to revenge the death of late Ossama bin Laden by striking America on its soil again, wanting to inspire fear. Upon hearing the news, Yemenis expressed their outrage saying this incident was only confirming the belief that the White House was solely seeking its benefits in the war on terror, not caring as it claimed for its partners but rather abusing their gullibility.
